Vic Falls and the place of thunder!!!
today was a rest day with the three of us going our own seperate ways.
After a leasurely breakfast , Corrie and Barry went offto the get wet at the falls and I went off to explore. the river is very full at the moment and the falls are very spectacular. I went to the bridge and watched a few mad people throw themselves off it at a cost of $90.Spoke to some locals who are very happy but staving and wondered how much millie meal could be bought for $90.
we regrouped at lunch time and Corrie insisted we go for tea and scones at the Victoria falls Hotel. very Colonial. was spledid but there were no scones available so settled for a Zambesi beer instead and thai soup. very nice.
went to courier market but think we have more and better in Knysna.
the wild life is amazing. monkeys are creating havoc while I am working on camp site computor " food is flying everywhere, I could loose my hat"
The elephents are on the roads like our goats are in the former Transkei.
Tomorow we are off on our first real dirt section and makingour way to Kariba via Binga. expecting to sleap out in the open tomorow and are preparing acordinly with provisions. have just heared that lions have been chasing cars on the road we are about to travel!! the Gs had better be fast!!
so if this is our one and last posing, you know were to come loking for us!!!
